THE REAL TWIN PEAKS
Before Twin Peaks ever aired on television I was a huge fan. I knew that anything David Lynch created would be a coolly weird event.
So the excitement and anticipation of viewing the first episode was like a twisted Christmas morning – and the present was Twin Peaks!
I had never been a true “fan”, as in fanatic, of any TV show, movie, sports team, actor or actress. Even my Sex, Drugs and Rock ‘n’ Roll History that I lived through during the ’60s and ’70s of bands that I loved never achieved what I would consider as “fandom”, as it was more of a lifestyle.
But with Twin Peaks I really got involved, I loved that show so much that I wanted to live there – and since I couldn’t, I did the next best thing – I visited Twin Peaks and stayed at the Great Northern / Salish Lodge for a couple days and visited all of the places that I had come to know and love on the series.
Twin Peaks Archives will relate my real-life adventures in a surreal world where the TV series and real life converged into a quasi-experience thanks to the weird and wonderful vision of David Lynch.
